I like the industrial or street fighter look. I think it says "go" rather than "show".
As far as the mirrors I was thinking something along the lines of a Talbot or even a Raydot (could even mount the the Raydot about 1/2 way up the windshield post).
All and all I think you did a great job.
The finished product looks great!
