They might be? I am a total rookie when it comes to those.
There are several mid to late 60s trucks with what look like 9" housings.
Is there a quick way to tell them apart without opening them up?

The pricing is just how that yard works. Flat prices on everything (short blocks...$85.00, long blocks....$100.00 , trannys 80.00, rear diffs $90.00)
All engines are the same. I was behind a guy who paid $234.00 for a complete 5.4L Ford Expedition motor, efi system, all accy's and drive system, flexplate, and wiring harness with ecm. His buddy got the tranny and transfer case for another $170.00.
Its a "pull it yourself" yard. I keep waiting for a LS motor to show up. Lol!
