Greg, you get wood on the ball once and a while. He said the mig welds were dirty and he had a spray bottle handy.
It takes alot of finess to weld an 1/8" plate to .003 thick frame rails! If I ever build another, frame rails will be on the short list. These babies were cherry. I can't imagine some of the rails running around out there.
