I had reported the oil smoke on deceleration and then when you got back on the gas.... and I'm happy to report that pulling the intake manifold confirmed my suspicions. It was by far the worst manifold install in the history of the galaxy (thanks Al Moreno for that one!). Some of the bolts were finger tight - and NONE had sealant or anything else on them.... and the gaskets were not sealed to the heads or intake except a little bit around the water passages. THEY FELL OFF... and the oil was not just weepage - it was a river of oil between the gaskets and ports.

NOTE THAT OIL WAS BEING SIPHONED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE GASKET IN A NUMBER OF PORTS

Note another issue I discovered..... the shoulders on the ARP bolts have a nice "interference fit" (like a main cap) with the header - so it was actually IMPOSSIBLE to tighten them up.... I removed them and walked over to the Burr King - made the shoulder of the bolt smaller - and re-installed. Now they will actually torque down the header. I PHOTOGRAPHED this one as found when I started working on this project.

wow! Yeah, mechanically that place is lost, over their head on really basic parts of a car build. Glad you're getting it sorted.
