I probably moved the "high" spots close to an inch. BFH (ballpeen) smoothed radius with a file. Lot of patience and hammer blows to move and shape it without distorting the metal too much. From the inside it's hardly noticable.
Critical clearance/access points are the top two bellhousing bolts. Mine is really tight with a long extention.
