Actually no in a boosted situation. The aluminum block will make less power and not be as reliable. The reason is the bottom of the cylinder doesn't have enough strength and expands loosing ring seal. As Marty stated you get ALOT of movement from the aluminum block. For the little amount of weight you do save it's not worth the trade off.
