I have the earlier model in my Camaro - no complaints. Still cools the car just fine, but it is a little more simple set up. I've since put the Magnum units in all the other projects. Very sophisticated and amazing, but at the end of the day it simply cools or heats the cabin which is what we crave.

I see no reason why you can't go with the Magnum style/Gen IV condenser, drier, and lines since both of them terminate on the firewall in about the same way. The only thing is you will have a custom length on the lines to the compressor since you are using the other brackets. No big deal, easy to modify.
