I bought this new billet LS1 alternator bracket kit from a member on the board here (happens to be local too and a straight up guy to deal with!!)
Plans have changed and I have to put the project on hold and generate some $$

Billet alternator bracket for LS style engines.
This adapter bolts in place of the factory unit and accepts factory and most aftermarket alternators.
Machined from plate 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum.
This bracket is significantly stronger than the factory cast aluminum piece.
Designed to ride on the Camaro/GTO belt line.
Some shimming may be required do to the differences in aftermarket and rebuilt alternators.
I didn't buy the Idler pulley from him yet (wasn't sure if I wan't the smooth or the ribbed style) but you can contact him for the Idler pulley. He does carry some awesome billet p/s pulleys and other LS parts. check it out:
