I have been following along as Nick car is getting done in the Camaro Performers articles. There is some good tips there. And also over on NastyZ28.com are a few threads that documented this very well. Look up Parker here and over there. His build thread on nasty covers new skin on pretty much the whole car. Super nice guy too. He has answered several questions for me in the past.
As you do yours try to document it here in your thread. This site could use all the second gen info we can get. I will try to do the same thing when I start in a couple weeks.
