I was able to keep the factory qaurters on the gold car. If I were going to change both the roof and qaurters, I would definetly do the roof first. If need be you can trim the upper connection point of the qaurters to help facilitate the roof swap.

Unless your A-Pillars are damaged or rotted i would suggest the skin. Even if it's a little short, changing the skin is easier than the entire roof structure. If you change the whole structure, be sure to use plenty of welded bracing to ensure the structure retains it's correct form and demensions.
