Well after a very long but productive day, Ive made some good progress and my chassis jig is one step closer to being done. The 1/2 steel had been sitting in the truck for almost 3 months and after driving to pick it up it has finally moved. As you can imagine it is ridiculously heavy, so luckily a friend of the family was able to help out with his crane truck! Unloading was a breeze, I then measured my sections, clamped a channel guide and used a steelmax saw. Even though its only recommended to 5/16 it did a great job and left a very accurate and clean cut. Im pretty worn out after maneuvering the plate all over the place. Ive still got alot more cutting to do and then hopefully going to rent a mag drill and spend a weekend drilling holes. I still have to sandblast or evaporust treat all the metal, epoxy primer everything, put on casters, buy bolts, make chassis fixtures etc. etc. Hope you like today's pics! Thanks for the support guys! My ride is going to be badass!
