Its fun coming home and seeing another goody that has arrived at your door. Today a C6 z06 rear differential showed up that I purchased off ebay 2 days ago. Considering this is a $3000-4000 new differential. Everything looks good to go, however there is a hole in the case due to whatever accident it was involved in an caused the differential cooler to puncture the case. I will form and roll a new piece of aluminum, weld, and finish like new. Needless to say I have developed numerous "mini projects" within my entire project. I plan to completely rebuild it with cryo, micro polished parts, shafts, etc. and finally powder coat it the same black finish as my control arms along with the tr6060.
When I started this I knew I had expensive taste, that only the best would do and I knew that the only way I would have my dream car and have it built to the level of quality that i want was to take parts that I would never be able to afford brand new, that had some sort of flaw and put some work into them to make them nice again. That's part of the fun of it for me, learning to do things myself. The last thing I want to do is be on someone Else's schedule. Stay tuned!!!!!!!
