From a completely outside perspective( I live on the other side of the world so you can't get much more outside
) this argument gets bought up in so many types of motorsport (what is street/race ) it cannot be solved. As soon as you introduce more rules someone will find an edge in some way and guess what, some people will want more rules again. It's a vicious circle. If you are having fun but someone beats you with better gear, you know it and so do they. Race as hard as you can and have fun, nothing else matters when you do this.
Congrats to all you guys doing these races, I'm as jealous as hell, as here we don't have anything like it.
