Just keep plugging away - one thing at a time... and look at all of these "things" as FUN issues that just have to be solved... they're not obstacles - they're just stuff hanging around waiting for a smart guy like you to come along to solve.
Some guys pass all the 'hard stuff' and do a whole bunch of easy -- but then eventually you end up with all these hard things to do...and that's no fun. It's better to just tackle it - don't do anything until you have a solution that you LIKE and is doable -- but ya keep thinking and asking and eventually a light goes on and bingo it's easy! <well.... sometimes!>
