Torches are fun! You shouldn't need to be over 15psi on acetylene and no more than 20psi on the oxygen. Just crack the acetylene to light, turn up until soot clears then bring on the oxygen.
Not a bad idea to have an extinguisher and watch the fumes comin from that old stuff.
