Steve ... this is the disc I use with the Dewalt drill, they also make a 4" and it's better for getting into odd places. The 3" will heat up the metal faster cuz the shorter bristles. Have fun

Got out in the garage and did some more investigating surgery ... yep RUST
Took the inner piece off and sure enough rusted ... I have a replacement piece from AMD for the inner rocker panel repair. It should go easy, I will POR15 the original outer rocker that I cut to get access and get this wrapped up.
Rust under this panel ... I knew it
This will clean up well ... more POR15 going here
