Jody, that sucks. Sorry to hear about it. I'll be painting my car in July and hearing stories like this makes me cringe. I have no desire to have my car in Paint Jail so I will be shooting the car myself. I've been reading a ton of tech articles on painting with these new base/clear systems and have purchased several videos on the internet that were recommended to me by some folks over at Camaros.net. I'm curious as to why the car was blocked between clear coats. I thought with the new systems in use today this was not necessary. Or is this the secret to achieving a 'smooth-as-glass' finish?
Oh, and in regards to the color....I personally liked that Orange color you were going with in the original rendering. It was a Chrysler color...wasn't it?
