yes, either replace the cover with a stock unit that has one (my first choice), drill and tap the cover for a nipple, or put one in the other valve cover ( my last choice with those beautiful covers!

You have the oil separator so the fact there's no baffling in the cover should be fine. Wonder where the LQ9 drew the pressure from? I think it had a fitting on the intake itself now that I think about it. I had not got that far with that motor, or I would have fixed it before you got it.
