One time at Hot August Nights -- Silver Auction -- I was standing next to Charley and we had been talking about a '32 Ford that was really done nicely.... So I said -- "I want to watch (meaning bid on) that '32 when it comes up" --- and he says -- "Yeah, I'm going to buy it".
My heart sunk - my shoulders drooped -- I hung my head... as I watched him bid. I wanted that car. No way was I going to bid against him.
