A 5000 stall in my opinion is not really a street converter. I would go with the recommendation of whomever you're going to buy it from. To use this on the street requires somewhat of a compromise. You'll likely need something at least in the 3000 rpm range minimum, but it depends on your HP, torque curve, gears, weight, rpm range, tire size, etc. The good converters will give you the flash stall you need for launch but not be so slippy feeling cruising down the road. This is an area to not go by price alone; a bad converter will give poor performance on the track and street, and even though it's cheap you likely won't be happy with it, and your et's/mph will suffer.

You get too high on the stall and you probably won't like it a lot on the street; it will slip so much that it feels like a clutch car with a worn out clutch. You hit the throttle and the engines revs but the car doesn't move much. A real high stall will also bring in a lot more heat, though any converter will require a good cooler for the trans.
