Bill, those MR2 and other electric pumps don't put out enough pressure and volume to properly power up one of these systems. We have worked with a few customers that have attempted this and it hasn't worked out for them. We then coached them through the installation of a belt driven PS pump to only run the brakes standalone (so that they could retain the manual steering) to get them operational...
