For a car that will never see an autocross or road course, a full floater is wayyy overkill, in my opinion. I would recommend using a floating brake caliper to cure any potential street-induced knockback. 9" or 12 bolt is up to you, but Blake makes some good points about the 9" pinion location.

Currie's recommendation about using the big bearing Ford ends is a good one if you end up going with the 12 bolt.
