I think it's to clear the top two rails of the tube chassis which I also assume is the center bracing. Look at the pics of the chassis with the engine and tranny mock up. And to the builder...that's just wrong bro to keep this from us for the past two years. LOL!!
Nonetheless, the shoebox looks great. I love the bead rolling on the floor pans. Keep the pics coming!!
