Default Global West coilover brackets

Anybody here have the front Global West coilover brackets for GM A body?
I've installed them, and the quality and fitment is great. My question is, for those who have them, which shock did you run? And did you use the Global West lower control arm, or another lower? I'm gonna run some 7" stroke Carreras, that I already had laying around, which I will re-valve when the car is going. These shocks have eyelets top and bottom, which I've had to adapt to my lower control arms. I'm running CPP uppers and lowers.
At ride height, I am on the snubbers, and my shock has like 1/2" of travel left, so I have modded the lowers, to get me 2" to 3" of travel. This car will be low.
I see that the Penske shocks that GW sells have no bottom eyelet on them. Instead they have a stock style piece, that bolts to the arm. This piece would have given me a little more travel, but not what I'm needing.
I'm really just wondering what you guys are doing component wise, and how much travel did you end up with, at your chosen ride height.
