It's the first gen Leatt mostly carbon composite and carbon fiber. It was $599 about 5 years ago. It took about 3 rides to get it adjusted properly and adapt to it, now I don't even notice it. I can confim this...11 years ago September I broke my back racing motocross. Spent 2 years in a wheelchair. I am one of the very very fortunate cases that regained some mobility and currently can get by with the assistance of a cane and the use of leg braces on both feet that allow me to walk short distances. I will never regain the use of my legs or feet from the knees down. So any and all safty precautions are worth the money.
