Since the Corvette spindle is Aluminum it is thicker than a steel spindle in the tapered socket. I would stick with a C5 or C6 ball joint, others would probably be too short in the taper. The upper a arm socket is .790" deep.
Corvette lower ball joint hole in lower A arm is 1.045" thick. I don't have a stock Corvette spindle to measure the lower ball joint socket depth but I do have the LG Racing billet spindle which is 1.525"
