I agree but to some people it was considered an issue. I mean it wasn't really that long ago when a Catholic in the white house was ground breaking, and we haven't had a jewish president.

I agree with Matt in that a moderate Mitt Romney could have won the election. He tried hard to swing towards the middle near the end but how is anyone supposed to believe someone who shifts so wildly?

Everyone agrees that politicians will say anything to be elected, but that doesn't mean that people will accept it and vote for you anyways. I can certainly see a lot of people voting for Obama simply because it's clearer what you will get than with Romney who has been all over the place.

Back before the last election I thought McCain was great, but then to try to get elected he had to do a lot of things that I don't think were him and I lost a lot of respect for him.

If as they say America is middle-right, who is going to win more and more elections, a party that is far right, or one that is middle-left?
