Being in insurance myself, you can go about this 2 ways. An appraisal or total of money spent. Your company will have guidelines that they follow. Most of the time it is best to go through a specialty carrier on cars such as yours, but I do not know how things work where you live. I cannot imagine that what something sells for here in the states will have any weight with what the car is worth in Germany...and vice versa.
