The QA-1's are larger in diameter than the shock insertion hole in the stock lower arms. The correct way to do it would be to remove your lower arms, cut the shock insertion hole larger in diameter, and then weld a nut on each side of the control arm. You will need to weld the nuts because once you've made the shock insertion hole bigger you will have intruded on the existing lower shock mount holes.
