I drive past a Mini dealership everyday, and this is what I was thinking of when I made the last post about the thinking that the wheels might be too contemporary-retro for the rest of your car. If my brain hadn't already made this association, I would probably be all over them, especially in black. The more I look at the black spokes with machined highlights, the more I'm starting to like the look of those Laguna wheels on the Torino. I'm still going to tell you that you have badass looking Mini Cooper wheels though. I can't unsee that association.
*edit* the more I see those wheels, the more I like them. I might have to get a set of mini look a likes for my fastback!
