There was a case in Florida a few years ago, a guy lost control of his Trans Am and wrecked it, the police downloaded the info from his computer and used the information to prosecute him for speeding and wreckless driving.
Sounds like no big deal but this is a violation of privacy when your own car can be used as evidence against you, even if you were using it on public streets. The ACLU jumped in with 4th and 5th amendment claims, not sure what ever happened with those challenges...
