Some (useless) food for thought, at 400* a straight 10' piece of stainless tubing, 3" in diameter with .065 wall will "grow" approximately .300" This is what I was told by a machinist/customer with too much time on his hands who took home a 12" piece of tubing and reported back with his findings.......I'm sure you could get there with math, as well.
Not figure out yet, just theory.
Good info . I wonder what's normal operating temperature for exhaust?
