Yep thats correct.
as I said in the other forum on the same question.
We have experemented with moving the engine back 1.75" as I did in my Nova. Here is a list of the issues that needed to be rectified.
Header to Firewall
Steering shaft to Header
Block to rack and pinion fitting
Alternator Low mount CTSV to subframe
Alternator to motot mount.
Bellhousing to firewall, ( i have to remove the subframe to change the clutch)
master cylinder to valvecover (depending on both)
So after all that we decided to keep the engine in the same spot as the BBC and SBC
It makes for an install that the guy at home can do with no issues. I think that is what the majority of customers want rather than the engine moved back 1 to 1.5"
