Thanks, and yes VWW makes an excellent wheel. The backspace offered in their wheel (4.5") is more suited to the Eleanor's and cars with fender flares.
I have to get the wheel at least 1/2" deeper

Don't be surprised if Swain chimes in with something Budnik has to offer or has the ability to produce. I see a few that look close but might not have a Cobra calibrated eye. Having said that, The right combo can really lend itself well to the look you might be seeking without being "correct".
Track Junky has a good suggestion and I would talk to Newstalgia wheel too. I know VWW introduced 18" sizes in the v40 and v45 a year or two ago. It is worth inquiring if their Shelby style wheel is coming in 18's but their site shows 17 as the max. |

Newstalgia has been one of my favorite wheel sites for many years, but unfortunately the custom deep front backspacing I need, makes it tough to get any off the shelf wheel to fit.
Right now I am using a 94/04 Mustang set, stock 17 x 10.5 rears and 17 x 9 fronts, which have 1.1 removed from the backspace, and 3/16 shaved from the hub face of the wheel, and a machined hub center, to clear the wheel bearings.
Unfortunately I don't see any new offerings for the 94-04 mustang wheels, that I like.
