Check out Scott Mocks 66 Chevelle build thread on here. Go to page 13, post 125. He narrowed his stock rear frame, and looks to have 315's back there. Actually he's got those tires on all 4 corners!
How wide do you want to go? I'm running 10" wheels out back, and I'm sure I could do an 11" with cut or rolled fenders, and the perfect back spacing.

My Chevelle is old school... It has a belt driven power steering pump.
They're 17's, but I keep em clean!
