It's as good a paint as anything else out there for the most part. Until you start getting into crazy candies, blends, and tricky stuff Dupont 2 stage stuff is good. Every painter will have his or her opinion about what they spray, but by in large it's all about even. My shop sprays PPG exclusively, but my car will wear House of Kolors paint because I was after a certain color.
Do not be bound by one color chart when painting your car! Just because that shop uses one paint manufacturer, doesn't mean you should be restricted to that single catalog.
If you start to narrow down a few particular reds you like, call TCP Global and order some 3 ounce, spray ready samples. Grab a hood from a wrecking yard for cheap and have the shop spray them out in strips right next to each other. This is the only true way to work with red. Color chips are never, ever truly representative of what a hue will actually do over sealer. Good luck!
