I like what he says, except for one thing about 'checking up' on people who have been denied. That creates a very slippery slope when 'mental health' is subjective to a federal bureaucracy. And any sort of expanded 'mental/background' check further than what is currently being done when ALL people purchase a firearm (FFL) will be nothing short of national registry list. The NRA should be careful in supporting anything of the sort.
Lets not forget, we are told Lanza tried several times to buy firearms. The system in place did its job and denied him.
