Haha, at the last SoCal Challenge event a couple of us stayed at the Holiday in Express in Colton (Riverside area) it was about 10min away. Apparently the first floor wasn't bad, but the second floor that I was staying on smelled like a grow house. I don't know why but I think I remember really hungry when I woke up.
As TurboLark said, the Rancho Cucamonga area/Ontario Mills is good if you're looking for somewhere close by.
