My first car was a 71 chevelle ss 454/425hp I guess it was an ls5 car, bone stock with 39000 miles on it. Those were the days when you could get a a crane fireball cam, lifters a holley 850 at a swapmeet for 150bucks. Needless to say we beat the snot out of those cars, we were lucky to get through spring and summer with out replacing a muncie gear box. Funny thing is, back then we thought those cars were the fastest things on the planet, probably high 12 to mid 13 second cars always traction deprived. We really had a blast, cops basically gave you a tongue lashing and sent you home, really a different time.
