Tripod (or box).. longer exposer and add some lite..
When the new issue comes out you will see some in it.. and maybe it will give you a good idea.
It doesn't take much to be "worthy".. so long as you can tell what the picture is supposed to be of it will get in. It's just the the better pics will run bigger.
Might as well give it a shot.. besides, you need some progress shots anyways..
