Ok heres what is going on with the relays.

Because fans can be high load, what they are doing is using the fused electric fan wire to "energize" the relays, but the relay itself is transfering the 12v positive battery connection to the fans.

If you are running an AAW Classic Update wiring kit, you will have an optional lead for fans, which I believe is a larger orange wire. This wire is an IGN fused wire, under the FANS fuse on the panel. By using this for the green wire on the Dakota Digital Relays, the battery can never transfer power to the fans unless the key is on, but the LOAD will not be pulled through the AAW circuit.

The fan on inputs are negative grounds from the Fan control box, which cause the relay to transfer the power from the battery to the fans when they are triggered.

So:
Green= orange AAW wire or a fused IGN circuit
Red = 12 volt battery which you can pull from the AAW harness in the accessory plug (6 way black plug by the fuse panel)

White = inputs from the fan controller
Black = positive side of your fans to make it SPIN THE RIGHT WAY! (you could send power to either side of the fan to go clockwise or counter clockwise, just make sure you are going the right way) , typically they are blue and black leads)

Then just ground the other lead from the fans to a good location.

On a side note, make sure you install the Dakota Digital controller in the car, not under the hood. It isnt weather proof. If this is the case, and you are using the AAW classic update, the orange fan wire will come connected to the firewall bulkhead out of the box. You can de-pin this wire and keep it under the dash for your situation.
