With enough patience, one
can machine aluminum with a CNC router. I re-cut the center of the old gate plate to create a mount for the gauge panel. This machine is still having issues (big gouge in the center of the side) but this piece will work. It broke my end mill though.
I purposely left room to hand finish it, so I'll blend that out in the process. I'm going to make a little pedestal mount to fit in the center that the gauge panel will sit on.
