Actually, I am from the town that started Pro-Street in the early 1980's. Here is a link to Scott Sullivan's 67 Chevy Nova.
http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97450 In the 1980's, Dayton had lot of Pro-Street Camaro's, Nova's, Chevelle, etc. I got to meet Scott a few times at the shows, and he is friends with my painter's son.
Although, I always wanted my 67 Camaro to handle, back around the time of Big Red in late 1980's. My second car was a 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350, and I loved the handling in that car. The first gen was always more of a pain to drive, and stop with those 4 wheel drums. Then Mark Stielow started to build his cars in the mid 1990's, so that is what I wanted to do with mine. My project officially started around 2002, but I just spent time buying NOS parts for the project. My project is officially still going, but it should be finished here soon.
