My 2000 Silverado stock makes 285 hp/325 ft/lbs of torque. Runs great at 129,000 miles. Although, if I rebuilt the engine. Then I do something like this. http://www.superchevy.com/technical/...6/viewall.html
You need a 4L65-E with that engine in the article.
(Although, I plan to upgrade to 2014 truck in the future).
