I think 275 is all you can realistically hope to get without rubbing issues.
Go to
www.tirerack.com and check out each of the specs for the tires you're interested in. For example, if you plug in 18x9 and want a 275 treadwidth tire, it will tell you exactly how much the tire will bulge on the sidewall (the part that will actually rub). It's like a calculation chart almost.
