SOLID advice right there.^^^^

Figure out a basic size range you can work in, make a cardboard template and walk through some junkyards. If you can get in the ballpark, you'll be miles ahead of the game to cut out the A-pillars and as much sheetmetal surrounding the glass as possible. If you need it shorter or narrower, but it has the right curve, you can trim it and the sheetmetal the same way you would with a chop-top but at least you'll have a part # for glass that is available and reference to more sheetmetal if necessary.
