5 axis is great for high production tight tolerance work of the Aerospace nature, 4 axis machines are affordable and are very capable of making anything you can dream up, true it may take an extra operation or some surfacing tool paths but considering the time saved in programming, tooling, software and machine price 4 axis machines are logical and more practical then 5 axis, 80% of parts in most industries are easily produced in 3 axis machines. thats my 2 pennies worth..
