We started at the rear with the bumper. The factory bumper on the front (while usually ill-fitting) looks 'correct' for the front of the '69. The rear, in our opinion, always looks a little like an afterthought. We decided to make the bumper fit the natural lines of the rear tailpanel shape while sweeping up and into the body like a Mustang or the RS Challenger we did a few years back.

The tail edges of the quarters were removed to accomplish two things. First was to tip the quarter out to meet the new bumper edge. Second was to straighten the body line that follows the quarters where it meets the tailpanel.







New quarter end pieces made and in place. You can see how moving the edge out helps the overall look of where it meets the bumper.
