You probably don't need the warning ranges. It is a Ford so you shouldn't need them.
Personally, after trying to read the cool looking gauges in my Camaro, I would use big fat needle and put a warning range on the tach, and maybe put it on the oil and water temps as well. When you're flying down a straight, it is much easier to tell what RPMs your turning with a big red block on one side of the gauge. The red range blocks help to give you a point of reference so things are easier to discern, and (at least for me) requires less thinking when driving.
