Honestly, I don't know and I'm hoping someone will step in and correct me if I am wrong. My thoughts would be that from the factory the paint doesn't crack, chip, or fall off from where they bolted the car together so why should it with a repaint that, especially compared to our old cars, should be of much better quality than the factory paint. It may be a matter of a difference in the type of paint or even how much was used in a particular area between factory and aftermarket though. Like I said, I don't know. I'd be having the same questions if I was you. Good luck!
